The Skriker is heard before it is seen, and lingers long after its absence. It flees at the sight of other undead, preferring to drown seemingly random humans. Yet whenever it's seen, it's never without the ghosts of common pets, who seem to take refuge in its hollow gaze.
Appearance
A typical Skriker resembles the bloated carcass of a dog, with a skeletal face and an exterior that resembles flesh sloughing off its bones. Its forearms are large with retractable claws and prominent pawpads. Its back legs, from the waist down, appear twisted and emaciated. Its eyes are hollow, and it appears to lack teeth amongst the dangling strands of etherium that compose its mouth. The lesser ghosts that trail a Skriker will always bear signs of injury, which are rumoured to gradually fade the longer they walk with it.
Anomalies include Skrikers with missing forearms, missing eye-sockets and multiple tongues.
